Emily Turns 4
Emily today was your 4th birthday. You woke in a fine mood but with a couple of hours had your grumpy on. You took off your dress-up clothes, for what reason I can't remember, and threw them as far as you could (2-3 feet). Um, time out.
You settled and eventually went with your mom to pick up your cake and a few other party items. The theme this year was "The Little Mermaid." For weeks leading up to today you talked about Ariel, Eric and Melody coming to the party. You even threatened to delay or cancel the event if they could not come. But as predicted, you forgot all about that when the doorbell rang for the first time. :)
The invitations read "Party @ 2:30." Your mom and I true to form would be ready @ 2:30 and not a minute earlier. The first guest arrived at 2:00, then the second at 2:05. Your mother nearly had a meltdown. She would later express her frustration at the fact that I was not panicking with her. :) We kicked it into high gear, put Cary and Tony to work and were finished in no time!
Everyone played outside, swinging and blowing bubbles. You loved your cake blowing out the candle on the first try. There were too many gifts to count. The favorites, of course, being the Eric doll and Eric action figures. You also received some dress up clothes, and a lot of "My Little Pony" toys.
Immediately dressing up as Ariel (new outfit) you spent the rest of the day playing with Eric.
